We’re a group of local people committed to finding sustainable and enjoyable ways to adapt to the challenges of fossil fuel depletion and climate change. We think it’s better to design that change & make it beneficial than wait to be surprised by it.
We will vision a better low energy/carbon future for Altrincham, Hale & Bowdon.
We will design an Energy Descent Action Plan – the route-map to a better future.
Finally, together, we will make it happen.
A Transition Town considers the challenges of the future as opportunities to rethink the way we do everything, and to reconnect with our local community. We aim to build a local community that is more interconnected, resilient and self-reliant.

- To spread awareness of Peak Oil and Climate Change
- To motivate a significant number of people to engage in change
- To envision a good low energy future for Altrincham, Hale & Bowdon and plan how to get there
- To create our local Energy Descent Action Plan
- To put the plan into action and monitor progress, modifying as necessary
